Just wondering where I can get a LEO without going through a breeder. They are VERY hard to find.

We have a Leonberger puppy, and we love him so much. He is very sweet with the typical Leonberger personality. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body. He doesn't bark, and is as eager to please as I could ask for.
He is QUITE affectionate, and most happy when he is in our company. He is also VERY playful!

There ARE some things you need to understand about Leos before you get one. All puppies are destructive to some extent. Leo's have big powerful jaws. They can destroy the hardest material in a flash. Multiply the damage expected by a small dog appropriately! :) They also are active, at least as puppies. If you aren't committed to exercise a Leo, don't get one. They shed something fierce a couple of times a year, and they take a good amount of grooming all year long. Fortunately, they love being groomed. Ours is a clown with a defnite sense of humor. Be prepared to interact with this dog more than some other common breeds.

That said, the breed is simply BEAUTIFUL, and it is a privilege to share life with this sweet georgous companion animal.
